We conduct an initial induction meeting online and an assessment for our management team to create a personalised action plan in collaboration with the students and the parents. Students take English tuition to build confidence in Spelling, Grammar, and Punctuation (SPaG), Comprehension, and Writing in KS1 and KS2.
In KS3 and KS4, students often want to improve their poetry, creative writing, and presentation skills. Others aim to make overall progress in the subject or focus on exam preparation. Whatever the objectives are, our fantastic team of staff helps students to achieve them.
After the initial diagnostic assessment, our teachers conduct formative assessments regularly, followed by summative assessments at the end of each term, to ensure students meet their targets. We use Google Classrooms to store and share resources between the teachers and students to allow for feedback and review.
We follow the White Rose Maths Syllabus, one of the most popular schemes used by schools across the UK, alongside supplementary resources created by our highly experienced and qualified Maths teachers at both primary and secondary level.
We offer 11+ tuition in small groups or 1-to-1 for students sitting grammar school entrance exams. We assess students to highlight their strengths and areas for improvement based on the GL and CEM success criteria in Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, English, and Maths.
Most students start preparing for the 11+ exams from Year 5. We track and report progress to parents to ensure students are ready to ace the 11+ exams in September of Year 6.
